Composure

Wednesday's game between Georgia Tech and Kennesaw State started off a little rough as Kennesaw State was hanging around. Was it because GT was coming off a disappointing loss or was Kennesaw State ready for this team? Either way, Coach Joseph was not liking what she saw and some adjustments were made at half-time. Second half Chelsea Regins came out and took leadership of this GT team. She stepped up at the most critical time and the Lady Jackets come out with the 19 point win over the Lady Owls.

Thursday night, Tennessee could pull away from Virginia. Angie Bjorklund came out hitting three's and Virginia was countering back, hitting almost all their shots down court. Viriginia took the lead and Tennessee would tie it up, but could not make a run to have a comfortable lead at the half. Even though, Tennessee came out second half shutting down Virginia's offense, Tennessee turned the ball over and did not convert on opportunities. With less than 5:00 to play, virgina cut the lead to nine but could not make a run and Tennessee won by 12.

We saw some really close games last night. Vandy and Samford, Duke and Auburn, Notre Dame upset by UCLA, DePaul taking fun away from Florida and Rutgers had to find a way to beat Princeton on their home court. We are early in the season, but we have seen some great games thus far and I don't expect anything less than that all season.

Tonight, we will see Georgia Tech host Prairie View A&M at 5:00. Will this be a challenge for GT knowing they face #1 UCONN Sunday at 2? Settle your nerves and play your game and then look to Sunday. GT will use this game to become better and hopefully look to upset UCONN! See you at the AMC!

From a sunny day in Atlanta!
Clay
