Tip-Off Weekend

Friday November 11 was the tip-off to women's basketball. It was also Veterans Day and we want to THANK each and every Veteran that has dedicated his or her life to our country. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do. We will never be able to repay you for what you have given us!

Georgia Tech Women's Basketball tipped off against Alabama State. This is the first game that the Lady Jackets will be on their home court at The Arena at Gwinnett while their home court on campus receives a well deserved makeover during the 2011-12 season. Early on, the Lady Jackets took control of the game and went on to win 97-37. Sunday, the Lady Jackets took on Old Dominion in Gwinnett and first half seemed a bit shaky. Second half, they come out strong and went on to win 87-56 to stay perfect at 2-0 on the season. Friday's attendance was not calculated due to a double header with Georgia Tech Men's Basketball, but Sunday's attendance was 773. The Lady Jackets will be at Marquette on Saturday November 19 and then return home to face Kennesaw State on November 22 @ 7:00. We hope to see you all then. Sign-up sheets will be at every home game for the bus trip to Athens on December 4.
